Curly Cut Prep

Curly Cut Prep Details

Cleanse, condition and style curls in a wash and go/curly set 2-3 days prior to your scheduled service.

Keep in mind your curls will be cleansed during your session— cleansing the day of or the day before your session can cause your curls to dry out.

Be sure not to use gels, hard setting foams or heavy oils/butters to set your curls after your wash.

The day of your session you’ll want to “refresh” your curls using a light weight curl cream only.

Proper prep is extremely important when shaping curls according to their natural curl pattern.

***It would be best to avoid curl creams containing heavy amounts of shea butter, oils and silicons. The use of curl gels and curl foams also make it a little difficult to get through the hair when performing a dry cut.

Please refrain from pinning, clipping and/or tying curls back. To ensure the best shape I prefer to work with loose tangle free curls, free from heavy product and/or disruption to the natural curl.

You’ll need to arrive with your hair dry!
