If you’re new to or lost in the world of curls and would like to sit with a Curl Expert to learn “The Fundamentals of Curl Care” for your unique curl type this session is for you!
What is it? A 60 min. in-person or virtual intro to curl care!
During this session Markiana will:
Answer all of your burning questions!
Give you expert “daily/routine curl care” insight.
Help you understand the “Fundamentals of Curl Care” to ensure you’re giving your curls their best to THRIVE!
Provide you with a thorough understanding of hydration and hydration retention.

Personalized curl care and styling product recommendations cannot be given during this session type due to Markiana’s inability to work with your hair from wet to dry.
If you’re in need of personalized product recommendations booking a full curly cut session would be the better fit for you.

An extensive consultation

*Curly cuts are designed for those with a fairly healthy to healthy curl pattern who wear their hair curly 95% or more of the time.
A Curl Recovery Consultation
If you’ve been coloring, lightening and/or straightening your curls and notice your curls aren’t bouncing back the way they once did your curl bonds have been broken.
Unfortunately, broken curl bonds are irreparable. However, a customized curl recovery plan will send you on your way back to a head full of healthy curls!
During your Curl Recovery Consultation we’ll discuss:
Realistic expectations.
A projected curl recovery time frame.
Transitional Cut options to jump start your recovery.
An in-salon plan to get your curls to a healthier state.
Virtual consultations are available.
At the end of your consultation I’ll schedule your first Transitional Cut session should you decide the plan we come up fits your lifestyle and hair goals.

Transitioning Cuts

Transitioning Cuts are designed for those in the process of “growing out” damaged, inconsistent curl patterns and/or curl loss.
This is a corrective cut to remove all damaged remains.
Corrective cuts often require a greater attention to detail when cutting and styling.
Currently, 2 types of Transitional Cuts are offered.
Wet Transitional Cut
Transitional Cut w/Styling
The current status of your hair will determine which session fits you best.
Severely damaged curls may not qualify for transitional cutting.
An extended grow out period may be required prior to scheduling a transitional cut.
This will be determined during a digital consultation or an in-person Curl Recovery Consultation.

This Session is designed for those in the early stages of their transition.
Best suited for those who aren’t quite ready for a big chop and would like to have a few inches of damaged remains cut off.
Includes:
A Wet Transitional Cut to rid hair of weakened, straighter ends
Steamy Hair Bath and Hair Mask
Fundamental Curly Hair Care Education tailored to fit current hair care needs.
Product knowledge and recommendations
Styling/upkeep advice
Treatment Plan/Regimen to help strengthen and revive hair through out the transition.
Styling not included.

This Session is designed for those who have been transitioning for an extended period of time.
Best suited for those who have a fairly consistent curl pattern with at least 6 or more inches of healthy grown-in curl to work with.
During this session all of your broken curl remains will be removed. This session is considered to be the “Big Chop” Session.
Includes:
A wet or dry Transitional Cut to rid hair of weakened, straighter ends.
Steamy Hair Bath and Hair Mask
Diffused Styling
Fundamental Curly Hair Care Education tailored to fit current hair needs.
Product knowledge
Advanced styling guidance
Treatment Plan/Regimen to help strengthen and revive hair through out the remainder of transitioning period.

Nourishing Curly Hair Care Session
Wash n’ Go sessions reset and nourish curls all in one visit.
This session type can be paired with a Curl Detox Wellness Treatment or a Scalp Treatment for Return Guests only.

A gentle steam infused curly hair bath & curly hair mask to infuse curls with moisture

For a lived-in, low maintenance sun-kissed look Pintura highlighting is the gentlest coloring/highlighting technique.
Pintura highlighting enhances curls using a free-hand painting method similar to balayage and is perfect for the girl who isn't married to an in-salon color maintenance sessions every 6-8 weeks!
